I need help with a discussion post for a group project. Here is the questions.
Identify the program and community organization that your group plans on evaluating. Then indicate which one of the designs in this chapter ch9 your group believes would be appropriate to use in evaluating this program. Why do think this would be appropriate? What evaluation design would be used? What would be the primary outcome variable? How would you collect and analyze your client satisfaction survey? Identify who would be the subjects? (this would come from your sampling assignment)
Our topic is air pollution in the southwest of Dearborn- MI- USA and the program my group decided to evaluate is called EHRA, the EHRA at the Michigan – Dearborn is the Environmental Health Research to action and they deal with environmental health and specifically air pollution. And the design to evaluate I think fit best for our program is called pre-experimental design.
Here is my answer so far:
The program that my team plans to evaluate is ACCESS. The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) strives to helps low-income families, as well as newly arrived immigrants adapt to life in the U.S. After much thoughts, we decided to switch to Environmental Health Research to action, EHRA at UofM Dearborn and they focuses on environmental health and specifically air pollution.
All I need now is to explain which design chapter ch9 your group believes would be appropriate to use in evaluating this program. Why do think this would be appropriate? What evaluation design would be used? What would be the primary outcome variable? How would you collect and analyze your client satisfaction survey? Identify who would be the subjects?. I’ll attache two pages from chapter 9 that explain the desig, I will also attached a copy a for a classmate answer from my group to use it just for reference or details.

Introduction: As a medical professor, it is important to understand the different evaluation designs in order to properly assess and evaluate programs and community organizations. In this scenario, the program being evaluated is EHRA at the University of Michigan Dearborn, which focuses on environmental health and air pollution.
Answer: Based on the information provided, I believe that the appropriate evaluation design to use in this case would be the quasi-experimental design. This design allows for a comparison between a treatment and control group, which is important in assessing the effectiveness of EHRA’s program. The primary outcome variable would be the reduction in air pollution levels, measured through air quality monitoring before and after the program is implemented.
To collect and analyze the client satisfaction survey, a survey questionnaire can be distributed to participating individuals and groups, with questions focused on the perception of air quality and the impact of the EHRA program. The subjects in this case would be individuals living in the southwest of Dearborn who were directly impacted by air pollution.
Overall, the quasi-experimental design would provide important insights into the effectiveness of the EHRA program and allow for a thorough evaluation of its impact on air pollution levels in the region.
